Helping seniors, especially those who are frail with limited mobility,
remain at home and as independent as possible is our mission. This growing
population presents a challenge and an opportunity to our community and
the COA. Clearly, it is beneficial to allow seniors to remain in their own
home as long as possible, both for quality of life and for cost saving factors.

Our Purpose:
To provide targeted services of comprehensive compassionate care that
not only fosters independence but helps our clients to remain active, valued
members of their community. To create space and programs to allow our
senior population to flourish as long as they are able.

Our Mission:
The Council on Aging of Nassau County is dedicated to meeting the needs
of the elderly, increasing their quality of life and preserving their dignity.
COA is committed to helping our clients remain intellectually, socially and
physically active through stimulating and compassionate programs of care
while maintaining their independence for as long as possible.
